So the CEO of the Utah mine announced today that they were suspending digging for the 6 miners indefinitely – which is really a tragedy and a horrible feeling for the families. I can’t imagine having had hope that they would be found alive, and then being told the rescue efforts were being stopped. Although 3 people died last week saving them, which is horrific for those families. Either way, not a good situation to be in. On top of that, China had a big flood in a cave that is estimated to have killed 180 miners. How brutal!
A third “cave-in” happened earlier this week when a family’s storm drain was filled with mud – the video with the happy ending was on CNN today and, I have to admit, tugged on my heartstrings and made for an emotional morning.
